More good news from israel. At least they are honest. The same poll also reported that 56% of Israelis (Jews and non-Jews) support full equality between people of different religious and racial backgrounds. Which I think means that one percent of racial bigots happen to believe in gender equality. Which is a start...

Municipal Elections!

In my first ever Israel elections I voted for Dov Chanin for mayor of Tel Aviv and Meretz for city counsel, but the was almost swayed last minute by the "let the animals live" party (Good for 2 legged creatures, as well as 4). Other templting offers were the orthodox mizrachi party ("we're all Jews"), the pensioners party (if you're old and don't want to lose your peartion), and the young person's party (vote your age). The moral of the story is (aside from the tip candidates) vote for me becasue I'm like you and will watch out for you and ignore everyone else. I am not so sure this is the best way to go...

More exciting campaign posters

While I appreciate the inclusive sentiment there are millions of Israel citizens who would beg to differ. It also makes me wonder if we are all Jews, do we all have to study in Shas schools? As nice as it sounds I'm not quite ready to give up on history, math, and science quite yet.

The bike ride i promissed way back when
